Gas vs Battery Powered or Electric Lawn Mowers. Which is better? I saw tons of battery powered units at Home Depot the other day and only a few gas powered! Has electric taken over?!?

I had a Kobalt electric mower and hated it. Back to the Toro Timemaster. I’m making the switch back to gas.

I am never switching to electric even if I am held at gunpoint.

What will happen to all the junk batteries

Lithium battery's are extremely flammable and catch fire quite often. They burn so hot that fire departments cant put them out. I would not store one anywhere in or near my house.

Hell no. I'll stick with gas until they stop selling the stuff

No way I will switch I love the gas smell, filling it up with gas and the sound

First here to tell you that this must be shocking to the industry! Watt will become of us. Men of the future won't know what it is to fight a stubborn starting engine.

Have to say I'll stick with a gas powered mower for sure. However, I've come to appreciate my 15 year old Ryobi 18v leaf blower and weed wacker. They are both light, and not near as loud as their gas counter parts. My yard has very little trimming and one battery lasts for 3 weeks on both units without charging. The batteries are newer lithium. I'm sure they won't always work that good. But when the battery only costs $30 and used in all my other tools, it's kinda a no brain'er.

Yup for a small fee of 600 bucks you too can own and electric mower that will only do a ¼ acre .

There's gonna be salvage yards full of them in a couple years. I can't imagine what the disposal fee will be!

electric mowers just simply don’t last as long. batteries go out after about 2 years max

Biggest gimmick since snake oil! Sell you a lawnmower but the battery sold separately

Sorry electric lawn mower won't even cut a 1/32 of my yard I have to fight with a gas lawnmower just to cut 25 feet l. Do they really think a electric lawnmower would cut giant ragweed and Verma grass

Have you seen the prices. $600-$1200 for a electric walk behind mower. I bought my gas push mower just before Covid with a bagger for $140

Honestly the only thing this has over gas is it’s easier to turn on and MAYBE looks cleaner (the mower itself not wherever your mowing)

That's for those men that wear dresses 😂

The reason people are switching to electric motors os because the gas mowers don't last. Hell, if you get a year put of one ot would be considered a miracle.

Look into how they get the precious metals like Coble for these batteries. It’s not good

These are the worst mowers & kinda expensive
The battery degrades after a couple of seasons & replace it is expensive

Yes, because I have a tiny garden. If I had a big garden definitely would stay with a proper lawnmower.
