I love the transparency. It isn't easy. A lot of our generation feel shameful with out debt and let it get out of control but I'm so glad you're taking these brave steps. We got this

I definitely got sucked into holiday sales and shopping this year when I got into the mindset that I’m making more money at my new job. I spent way too much on myself and others and lost all of my savings and now and am waiting for my next paycheck to pay bills. Thankfully I’m back on track and have been doing well this month. I’m not beating myself up and I’ve learned from this that mental health really affects your finances. I live at home rn and I’m thankful for that because it helps a lot. I’m looking forward to saving and moving out after summer

This is one of the video debt confessions that I've seen on YT. Thank you for your humility.

What I tell all my students...Research your Major. If you will only make 35K do not go to Harvard for a degree. If you have $100 do not spend $101. And save every penny you do not need. That is a simplistic definition but that will get the ball rolling.

I lost my mom in 2001 when I was in high school. I know how your feel and what you’re going through. You will get through this and become even stronger. ♥️

Can’t wait to see more of this journey! Last Fall/Winter I was buying a lot of things for no reason to “fill a void” or make me happy. Once 2020 came, Ive been much more strict about what I spend and have been getting rid things that no longer add value to my life. I also have a goal to save 3-6 months of expenses by the end of the year!

This was a great video! I've been in a similar place mentally. My mom passed away April 2018 and I've been trying to catch myself since. Like you, I've realized, I'm not the best person for a corporate job but I NEED stablity and routine to not let my depression and anxiety take me over. Family isn't there as much as you'd expect in the times when you need them most.

I've been diagnsed with bipolar disorder and pmdd but don't take medication to treat either. I've been trying natural alternatives and attempting to change my lifestyle. Way easer said than done. Between dealing with those issues, not being employed and just being BROKE, I've been really feeling in the pits but I've recently found a place that does free group therapy twice a week, I've been working on developing my skills through certfications so I can secure stable job in the corporate world, but in an area than would benefit my career, not just pay the bills.. Thank you for hring this video, I'm a first time commentor, definately will be keeping up with your progress and I'll be commenting and sharing mines.

Stay strong beautiful! You got this and we got you!

2:14 That's the big problem. So many people to flex online and make it seem like gig economy work is more lucrative than it really is. And it misleads people into making a decision that's actually more financially detrimental to them than having a normal job in many cases.

Choosing your own hours sounds nice until you realize you have to work literally ALL day, just to make as much as a fast food employees normal shift, after deducting gas, taxes, vehicle depreciation, wear and tear, etc.

I'm also so sorry to hear about your mother. I know how hard that is.
