I really don’t get when brands say “size up in this” or “size down in this model”. Why not be consistent just mark it as the ACTUAL size??

The way influencers promote products every day as a new must have reminds me of my toddler telling me a different favorite color every day.

Another thing to try for deodorizing fabric is using vodka! It’s a trick used by costume departments for lots of theaters and I’ve found it works surprisingly well! I just got a misting spray bottle and got the cheapest plain vodka from my local liquor store and have never looked back! Once it evaporates there is no lingering scent once it dries which I love!!

You can also use the same trick for cleaning mattresses and upholstered furniture!

As someone else with a lot of scalp issues (not dermatitis afaik, but it's super hyper-sensitive, dry, flaky, itchy etc and has been my whole life) finding any hair care that helps is a GODSEND. Seriously, because it was constant, I didn't realise how bad it was until my scalp didn't itch anymore lmao. I've found one routine and I'm sticking to it.

I took a social media break over December/ January and it really made me aware of how many products I was spending time researching and looking up even if I didn’t end up purchasing, it was just a lot of time wasted looking at things I’d never wanted until they were algorithmically served to me.

I really appreciate you saying that the chunky doc martens sandals were uncomfortable without socks. I was going to get them as my main shoe this year. I also was tempted to buy the Ugg platform slippers but I saw one girl struggling to get her foot in/having to bend down to put the slipper on and I was like “that looks annoying, never mind” lol

just a little tip from someone who has used a boar bristle brush all their life: do not ever use them on wet hair, the issues you were having with it on wet hair is because boar bristle brushes are not supposed to be used on wet hair- it will damage the hair, they're only meant to be used on dry hair to help distribute oils. It might be helpful to try using a wide tooth comb for wet hair, it takes longer but I've found it results in less breakage and tangles (thick curly hair girlie here)

thank you for talking about the docs like an actual person! I'm always so hesitant to buy the shoes online because of the sizing issue, so thank you for talking about them normally!!

From one sebhorreic dermatitis girl to another here are some tips that might help: try different dandruff shampoos and check the ingredients that help you out then rotate them (i dont know why but they stop working after a few weeks, like some sort of cycle), the ones that help me for example are selsun blue (the traditional, not the medicated one), ketoconazole shampoo, ducray kelual ds. Wash you hair daily whenever you have flair ups, dry shampoo makes my scalp go crazy so only use it when it is really necessary. I use vitamin C serums on my flair up areas (i had a flair up on my face and my night vitamin C serum helped me, it was so random), so now I have tried my serums on my itchy areas and some of them help.

I heard that you shouldn't put conditioner on your scalp at all... I've had some hair problems... not scalp, just hair... and not using conditioner on my roots helped dramatically!
Yay for coming up with a system that works! Just thought I'd pop this up for anybody it could help!

As you say your hair is tangly, holds heat styling and gets "dents" easily, you probably have at least somewhat wavy hair, right? I'd kinda love to see you try styling your hair as if it was curly, like follow a short tutorial with wet hair scrunching and all that. You said you don't like mousse but maybe you'd like a different product like a gel or cream, or even just conditioner...? However I think it'd be best to try with the products you already have so you don't waste money for something you might not like :) I'm just curious how it would go as a wavy hair owner haha

Dr. Drey changed my scalp. I have the same scalp it sounds like. I love her channel. She has SO many fragrance free reviews for us sensitive souls. 😊

I also have been finding out some auto immune connections with my scalp. ❤

hair stylist here. to get an affect from the brush you need a heat activated shine spray (like color wow) and also a heat protectant to protect your hair. imo with a blow out you need to keep the hair wrapped around the tool for like 15 more seconds than u probably think you need. it doesn't damage your hair if you're using heat protectant. and if that doesn't work maybe u should do a followers giveaway for the airwrap (•‿•)

Try the elf lip oil without shimmer. They are really nice and do not feel gritty.

Your hair is the dream "curly girl" hair look. I've been obsessed with it! Also as a naturally curly hair girly sometimes my hair dries and its everything i wanted and sometimes it dries and i really want to touchup some curls, but a regular curling wand doesnt really work for that because it cant mimick the natural curl look. This would be such a perfect method for that! Thanks for sharing!
