I'm 36 and actually trying to switch careers and teach myself how to code. I come from a totally different field (I'm a lawyer) and I have no programmer friends. The biggest obstacle for me are the psychological aspects of this process. I push my self too hard, I have high expectations and I'm in a hurry to become a professional programmer. Your videos really helped me not to feel overwhelmed, stressed and alone and you gave me hope that despite the difficulties, I'm on the right track. Thank you so much for the inspiration! ♥️♥️

Tiff I’m so glad I found your channel. I listen to you all the time. I’ve been learning to code for about 3months and now I’m finishing up my class. Your videos help me with setting realistic expectations, but also what I need to focus on as I prepare to apply for jobs.

Thank you. I've been in the computer support field for over 25 years and I have been studying software development since the first of the year for a late career change. I find your common sense videos very helpful.

Ooohhh. I didn’t know until now that one don’t have to learn and have a lot of experience in different coding languages that are written in the requirements part. I thought that I had to know 10 coding languages and many frame work and 5 years of experience etc.
Thank you very much for for the info Tiff.
Nice video. Keep going on. ;-)

I have an interview for my first software engineer job tomorrow. I'm a finalist for the position. The apptitude test was kinda of weird with multple choice questions. I had two types of test. One I think I did good on and another I'm not sure. Wish me luck, i'm so nervous!!

Hi Tiffany! Thank you so much for your channel! I’m joining a bootcamp in June and would love to hear some tips/what you would have done differently during your bootcamp experience. Thanks in advance!

My advice would be to do what you can to make your resume match the job description without dropping all of the keywords in a lazy manner. If they want Python, mention a project or job duty involving Python. I think it’s okay to say you have some experience with things you’re not necessarily a pro at. If they want React, maybe mention something about about a very small project with React. The main goal is to get your resume looked at. Once you’re in the interview process, then you can start being a little more detailed. You should emphasize your potential and willingness to grow if you’re just starting out. Also apply to jobs even if they say they want up to 5 years of experience. If they want something greater than 5 years, then they really do want a high mid-level to senior. Less than 5 years they are wanting a mid-level but may be willing to hire an entry level if you’re able to impress enough with your potential.

Hey Tiff, nice video! I'd like to ask you how big the breach between a QA and a Developer salary is?

Thank you for sharing these tips ❤
I have a question that i really need to know :
How hard it is for me to find a job as a foreigner junior developer in a country like Canada ?
Maybe you can record a video about it because there are so many students like me that have this question
Thank you Tiff ❤❤
