Chris, I live in Oregon. My close friend past away last year leaving me everything. I want to know if I can assume his VA loan at its current 3% interest or if its possible to purchase this home as an investment property. The home values at $515K he owed $323K current mortgage payment is $1, 970 monthly. Market comparison for potential rental income is $3, 250 a month. I have my own mortgage on a home and I rent our ADU to offset our mortgage payment our payment is $3, 369 per month and I rent the ADU for $2, 400 per month all of our monthly bills come to $2, 406 I gross 115K salary. Can I afford to take on this new home or Should I sell it?
