Cameras and nulls (empties) are THE defining thing for cinematic looks. In SoftImage one of the camera types was a whole setup with a camera driver null and point of interest null. I used the same in LightWave and it always gets smooth camera animation.

Ugh. So simple. I wish I found your tutorial before watching some other guy's 15 minute tutorial. 😂 Thanks for making this quick & simple!

Perfect! I was able to adapt this so that city labels on a game world map track the camera, thanks once again!

Wow, it's like as soon as I saw this video, "Track To" appeared in my list of modifiers. I thought I tried all the tracking modifiers! Thanks!

Ok this works, thanks. But I also need it to track the target rotation, like when there is ball rolling and the camera tracks it so it seem like the ball is still and the whole world goes spiny.

PS: I just found a solution. There is a checkbox in the constraint panel called "Target Z", just check that and bada bim bada bum you can make you audience get dizzy.

Sometimes its great to have the little quicky tuts

You can save making the empty -- unless that works better for your purposes -- by adding the constraint and then in the 'track to' box click the eyedropper and select where you want the camera to track.
