10 JavaScript Frameworks And Libraries That All Newbies Should Know: Vanilla Javascript x 10

My biggest mistake as a newbie was to jump from framework to framework without a proper understanding of how Javascript works.

Hey Erik thanks for answering my email about jQuery, that video sounds like a good idea to me. I'm kind of biased towards jQuery, 10+ years of use in web development is a huge amount of time, for any technology, plus it's easy to pick up.

How do you disable a script on one page from another page? So like if you have an if statement in between the script tags on one page, Is there a way to put a button on another page to stop the if statement from running?

So I'm SUPER confused as to which of these I should learn...I've already learned Bootstrap and JQuery, but I hear some people saying I should learn React, others say Angular, others say Vue.js, and others say I should learn a bit of both! All I want is a job at the end of the day...but I don't know where to start! Like if I learn a bit of one, I don't know what level I need to get to to feel confident about applying for jobs.

Maybe I should learn Ember as that sounds interesting...

Maybe you should make a video giving examples of websites built using each technology, so that I could decide which one I want to learn!

I'm highly skeptical about the monolithic nature of a lot of these frameworks. Waaayyy too much fragmentation. I understand the need, but if someone were to create a new framework, hopefully they do something different, like use a different programming language that compiles to javascript. Whatever framework you choose, you're still ducktaping webpack with hundreds of megabytes of JS, so there's barely any innovation here. All this work on webdev and we're still using CLI tools managing Unix-like mainframes. :P
BTW I am doing vue.js/django livestreams on my channel — please check it out!
