Figured this was the reason. I kept getting "failed to join lobby" until I started playing on other missions. Also heard disabling cross play "might" help. For the main planet everyone's playing on, this didn't change much, but I've had better luck when trying the other worlds.

i was playing fine the last few days but now since this update today i cant even join anyones lobby or match... i cant even get in a game...

Tried joining multiple matches with issues but then I disabled cross play and joined one I failed to join earlier

June 2024 - I started to get the "Failed to join lobby" error on EVERY game and auto-join stopped working in May, I've now re-installed the game (complete file and directory wipe) and it seemed to fix it. But now after the latest hot-patch I now get "Failed to Up-Link" and I can't join lobbies again...

Before the update i had no problems with conecting to othet players now after the update its a fin pain every time i play my first game with randoms its fine but when the host leaves and i want to join a new group i get these gd errors man over and over and need to restart my game to fix it its gd pissing me off o and nobody can join me eather when that happens SOS dosnt work 😢 this needs to be adressed soon

Crazy how they can release such a cool game, but Matchmaking just ain't working at all. Had to refund the game, since i lost patience with this crap :/

Oh they are AWARE of it! So, they ARE awake! Thank God for that! I feel much better! If this keeps up, peeps need to just jump ship to another game world! Game play hell ya. The rest of it is pure crap!

I had this issue and launched via the in steam play button rather than using the desktop shortcut which fixed for me, give that a go if nothing else works
