agreed. I remember reading the book as a younger man and I was absolutely enthralled. I'm sure many, many people will go and see the film and wether or not they've read the book i'm sure they will have a great time!

"The Life of Pie" was all I could think about. This needs to happen.

I read this in one of my undergrade literature courses, pretty decent book but kind of trippy too. I actually want to see the movie though. We also read The Lovely Bones that same semester and I was happy to see a film come out of that one when it did.

red this book in middle school. it was so long winded in the beginning i put it down. but i found it again and decided to try it once more because i kept thinking about it. once it got past the first part and he ended up on that boat, it really opened up. love this book. better be a good movie or i'm boycotting Hollywood!

The book is one of the best things ever written in history, so amazing. Looking forward to this, just hope they don't destroy it.

Visually stunning. Let's hope no one talks. A silent movie between a man and a tiger could be interesting.

For people who keep ripping on the movie, the book on the story was actually incredibly interesting (read it in english class). This movie is for those who actually read the book, so don`t judge the movie unless you read the book. I read the book and because of that I am going to watch the movie.

Ang Lee, the director of Brokeback Mountain, is the director of this movie. Don't worry everyone it's definitely in good hands.

Book's good, so being made into a movie won't be bad. It seems the movie does a better job with visuals than my mind and these are damn good effects. Give the book a try, you might like it if you're interested.

well since i got to know that role requires a young boy from village then probably.. Imran khan, prateik babbar, ranveer singh or neil nitin mukesh followed by many more actors, do carry potential to carry off this kind of role.

okay cool down boy.. i don't know about other actors of indian origin or from bollywood, but only Irrfan has the potential to win Oscar let him given a chance if there is a hollywood film feat. an Indian man in his 40's they will surely cast him. Even in this film he is playing the narrator (Older Pi) role which is meaty if u have read the book. Who knows he may well be nominated for best supporting actor in next academy awards! You can't doubt his skills remember this year's Paan Singh Tomar ?

I think this movie is the relation between the diameter and the perimeter of a circumference

Seems the "better story" has gotten even better. I remember seeing this in previews at the theater, there was a clip from the movie and it looked pretty good. If it's accurate, that's great. If not, I want to see where they take it. Either way... Here's to a good one.
