There is no RIGHT choice. Live your life, not by what others think. I've been quietly watching your videos and relate a lot with what you've been talking about. I'm 35 and quit my high paying job last year, so far had 4 months out trying to repair myself and also like you seeking change. Therapy has been great to keep me in check and I hope you enjoy your holiday and making the change you want.

Come visit Malaysia! I’m Malaysian and I used to think that I would make the U.K. my forever home. However, the past few years have really made me appreciate my country just a bit more. If you do visit, we will welcome you with open arms !

I left the UK 18 years ago, it was an obvious choice the writing was on the wall. Singapore, UAE, Russia, Malaysia and Georgia are all fantastic compared to the UK/US/EU. Singapore is virtually impossible to live full time now and UAE requires 2, 000, 000 AED investment for 10 year golden visa. Golden rule stay away from western countries - due to uncontrolled immigration, degeneracy, taxes, lgbt, feminism, poverty etc

Good luck to you mate and hope you get you what you need from your trip. I travelled solo to Morocco when I was 30 and met and hung out with people of all ages from 25-60. Had a great time and never felt out of place so I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine too!

The UK recently got crowned the second most miserable country in the world and I’m starting to believe it 😢

I'm 44 and would love to leave the UK. It is just going from bad to worse and no one seems happy here. Immigration is out of control and consequently crime is out of control. We pay high taxes for little in return. The cost of living is high and wages don't cover it. The quality of life in UK is generally poor. The government don't care and are corrupt. By 2030, I'm certain the UK will be a 3rd world country.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do in the future and my advice to anyone that can get out of this place, then do it. Life is too short.

I'm happy for you, well done! Looking forward to hearing how you get on!

I'm planning on traveling more this year, but I'm always delaying the date due to contract extensions etc. I know how it is to feel "stuck" in the normal patterns

I’ll second a lot of these comments Jay. I think the thing which interests me the most is the pure honesty in you vids and the fact that you’ve started recording the journey from day one… from the not so good feelings, I am intrigued to see how in time things change for you. Keep it up.

I feel the same way… I’m Irish living in Barcelona… love every minute of it and I couldn’t move back because I do love open nature, landscape, mountains, and cultures… also I had lived in Canada for 2 years…. I do worry about the EU if it did collapse (I really hope it doesn’t) I would leave Europe all together… great video btw :)

I have known at least over 50 people in the last year leave the UK for south east asia or china. Spain is nice but the EU is expensive and its economy crashing, south east asia is the best place to live, cheap to run, nice weather

It was really interesting to hear you planned a trip to Bangkok, because last week I booked my own. I'm Dutch, so we are neighbours. My social group was massive, but is now virtually non existend, I'm 38. I have never felt truly at home here. I have always felt more connected with international people. My trip will be for a couple of weeks, but it is also to see if I can picture myself living in Thailand, near the beach for the better climate. The weather in Holland and the UK is depressing. Simply seeing the sun would be a massive help. But the most interesting thing is going to be the international expat community of people there. Since most come there being alone, most will be open to meeting new people. I believe your decision of becoming a digital nomad will be the best decision you will ever make. Enjoy.

Good luck Jay, travel really opens your mind and you really find how small and depressing the UK life style is, property prices go up in the UK and as well as the cost of living and it becomes a rat race.I always feel happy when i travel abroad somewhere!I live in Italy 6 months a year but i plan to travel more and visit the UK less in the future.I am considering taking early retirement.

I've been sneaky watching your videos. I'm struggling with taking solo trips to other countries. Any advice?

You'll be fine mate. 30M from Uk I was in Bali solo for 3 weeks this summer and had a class time. Socialising with 25-34 year olds mainly, I would say Bali was a younger crowd than the phillipines (when I went in 2019). Probs depends on where you go to the demographic you'll meet/just fluke. You'll have an unreal time, enjoy :)
