Explore the growing crisis in the UK at EconomyTalk as we analyze why people no longer want to live in Britain. Despite London's economic prowess, the city faces a 50% rise in homelessness and stagnating real wages. Young professionals, especially in the National Health Service, seek better opportunities abroad due to low pay and tough working conditions. Immigration continues to rise, but those leaving are often more highly skilled than those arriving, affecting the quality of goods and services. Britain, once a magnet for talent, now sees a mass exodus due to deteriorating living standards, housing crises, and an overstretched NHS. Learn how these challenges are reshaping one of the richest countries in the world and what it means for its future.

The answer is simple, there is no quality of life left in Britain anymore .
Especially in the London area where we used to live, we moved to Cyprus in 2006 and have never looked back .
Here in Cyprus we have sun all year round, no traffic jams whatsoever, very low crime rates, no homeless people, and the beach ten minutes from our house .

Crime, immigration, high living costs, high house prices and rents, horrible weather, failing police, failing NHS, gridlocked traffic, high taxes...

From $3K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

Two of my three sons have emigrated to Australia, they went to Oxford, Durham, and St Andrews. I spend half the year in France but still keep a house in Central London. Outer London is ghastly. I am sending capital to Australia and would emigrate too if i could. Immigration to the UK is very poor quality. Several friends now spend much of the year in Argentina/Uruguay - fantastic lifestyle and ridiculously good value.

Money is not meant to control people, rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place

I believe you will find much of your countries assets ( homes, commercial properties, businesses, public utilities, land) are owned by foreigners or UK wealthy people who have moved their finances out of the UK. The 500 pound monthly mortgage payment, say make 10% profit. So the 50 pound profit ends up in the caymon islands. And the owner of the 50 pounds pays no taxes to support the citizens of the UK.

My wife and I left right after Brexit. We sold our expensive house in the UK and bought a smaller apartment in Poland. My two sons, along with their families, live decently in Sheffield mainly because we send them what we save from our pension. It's the young who should be able to support the elderly, not the other way around!

People who can afford to leave will leave because the government does not have the will to instill law & order on the streets. Sectarian divide continues to flourish because the government fears taking a stand.

I moved out of London 17 years ago, the best thing I ever done

After living and working in London for almost 6 years as an Eastern European immigrant, I have come to realize that my most valuable asset is my EU passport. I am seriously considering moving to Slovenia, even though I am not Slovenian, as I have observed a substantial decline in the quality of services and living standards in the UK over the years.

I graduated with both degrees and many work experiences. I couldnt find a job even for stocking shelves at a supermarket. After 40+ applications and a few months living in poverty I left and immedietly excelled in a big British corporation abroad. I always wonder what had happened

People are leaving because the Brits were thick as mince and just sat back while every asset was sold off to rich freinds from the 80's onwards. Successive governments (wearing all colours) wound down the armed forces, education, health care and emergency services.
The brits stood by and watched.
Also Brexit. Not so much shooting oneself in the foot, more emptying a full mag in the head.
You brits voted knowingly for all of the bad stuff that is happening. And that is why the rest of the world is very much enjoying the reality show that is an aged and uselss empire imploding.
