In the season debut for the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, Tua Tagovailoa gets banged up while throwing an 11-yard touchdown to Jerry Jeudy in the first quarter. Tagovailoa would return to the game and rush for a 9-yard score later in the quarter. The Crimson Tide widen the lead with two more touchdowns in the second quarter, including another Tagovailoa-Jeudy connection with nine seconds remaining. Alabama continues to dominate in the second half, finishing to a 51-14 victory over the Louisville Cardinals. After the game, coach Nick Saban says "quit asking" if he has to make a choice at starting quarterback between Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts.

Every drive with Tua resulted in a TD except one where a receiver fumbled. EVERY. DRIVE.

It’s no question that tua is clearly the better choice

Tide's one weakness..one true weakness..which was an elite QB..which they have now..Just like the Golden State Warriors...will only beat themselves or injuries will...sit back and enjoy

So proud of Tuaman. Watching him perform at this level in arguably the toughest conference in all of college football, is just amazing to behold. More grace 🙌🏽🤙🏽

Tua's leading the receiver with the throw magnetically. That looks unreal.

Just go ahead and give us our trophy. I still say had Tua played in the Sugar Bowl the score would be 48-6 instead of 24-6 against Clemson. We will only get better throughout the year! RMFT!

Tua can read a defense, throw the deep ball, has pocket presence & is extremely athletic. He is a first round draft pick.

Tua is a BEAST. His quick thinking and decision making— plus his accuracy (which is better than I’ve seen in... I don’t even know how long— a decade or longer, at least as far as Alabama is concerned), makes him a legit THREAT from anywhere on the field. Plus, I’m not even remotely convinced that Hurts is a better runner than Tua either, tbh.

Deionte Thompson (S — #14) is a ballhawk AND a headhunter out there... And don’t even get me started on True Freshman WR/KR, Waddell (#17). I don’t wanna go crazy after one game, but from what I’ve seen in week one, he might be the best return specialist we’ve had since Javier Arenas— and that’s legit GOD-LIKE praise, as Arenas returning kicks (punts, whatever) was absolutely unbelievable.

I never saw what was up with Mack Wilson, when he left the field to the locker room. I hope he’s not injured. He can miss next week, but after that, his leadership and ability to call the play and get everyone aligned (at the least) will be crucial with such an inexperienced defense.

Anyway... BEST TIME OF THE YEAR... RIGHT. NOW. PERIOD. Nothing is better than starting up a new college FB season.

Nick Saban is out here running a college football program like a NFL team. You can’t deny he’s a perfectionist! That’s a good coach, and a good mentor!
