EXPLORING A NEW PLANET! | Astroneer Gameplay Part 1

You need to extend your space capsule by pressing left click and gathering resin to put into it, this allows you to build a printer, smelter (used to make copper, aluminum, etc.), research center (used for those research capsules), and vehicle builder (pretty self explanatory), Hope this helps.

Edit: you must extend it 2 times, you'll need 3 resin in total. Resin is blue and looks like spiky orbs and is found on the surface. You'll get it like any other material.

2 things:
1) your body, if you die, creates its own beacon. The beacon you made is for placing to find any resource nodes or objects of interest you want to come back to
2) underground, there are plants that'll shoot a green gas at you. The gas will instantly kill you and it tracks you. The only way to kill the plants is to unearth the research node under every plant

P.s. This game is multiplayer compatible, so the reason for the pointing function is to tell any friends who play with you exactly where you're looking

Three tops tips for you that will help with progression and discovery without ruining it for you. Firstly, you're terrain tool is you best friend, you need to learn all its abilities. Example, the flatten part of the tool destroys or creates terrain based on the angle you initially lay it on. So for example with the cave system. If you created a small decline surface that you can walk on, you can then go off that surface with the flatten tool to create a ramp down with ease (either through the terrain away from the edge or creates it from the edge). Second, its all about your base. You need to expand it to access a lot of the content of the game. this can be don't by clicking on the connector that follows you around. It is very modular, it fact the game is very modular and you can combine things for various results (but you will learn that). Lastly, the two slots on the side of the back pack are really for power systems to help recharge your back pack at a faster rate. Things like the solar panel etc. Other than that, I don't want to give to much away for your first play through. Ohhh, and press 1-4 for emotes for a bit of fun =D

It would be amazing if you played this with some friends! I can already imagine Blue setting up a trade terminal/fuel compressor system within the first hour, while Rob dies 5-6 times from suffocation, fall damage, gas plants, and a hot room. Perfection.

Dear mr fruit. You have to craft a research pod in order to research. You can also build several other buildings surrounding your main pod. Also just a bit of speculation. I believe the big thing you dig up was a giant solar panel! Maybe try tethering it and you may get power on your pack! Love you fruit keep making the good vids❤️🍎
