Apple's iPhone 12 mini Success

Last fall, Apple released four new iPhones. The 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max. The most notable of which, was the 12 mini. Since it was the first time Apple ever introduced a mini iPhone model, and it received a lot of attention. But despite the excitement, the 12 mini experienced disappointing sales. Resulting in many news outlets and analysts declaring the model a failure. But I have a different opinion. And in this video, I’m going to outline how people were led to believe the 12 mini failed, and why I think it’s actually been a wild success for Apple.

The 12 mini in my opinion is a throwback to the Steve Jobs era of Apple. In which how the iPhone should be "Big enough hold in your hand, and reach all four corners of the screen."

The mini and SE are simply for different people. You get the SE because you want affordable. You get the mini if you want small.

We are 68+ and we both have arthritis and after test of ALL the iPhone 12's to replace our 6's, we are getting the mini. The mini fits our hands and needs perfectly. Thanks, Apple for thinking of folks like us.

I think 12 mini hasn't sold as much as expected because a few months prior the SE2 came out and all potential 12mini buyers bought the SE2.

No one marketed the 12 mini, everyone is marketing the 12. The 12 mini is fantastic because it reminds me of my favorite iPhone the Gen 1 SE.

I am a person who likes manufacturers who respect the meaning of a *mobile* phone and can distinguish between that and a phablet. Sony carried the mantle for flagship properly-sized phones until 2018 when they terminated their Compact lineup. It comes as no surprise that my switch from Android (and Sony) to Apple came in 2020 when Apple introduced the 12 Mini. I am sure there are many people out there who, like me, enjoy having top-spec phones which you can comfortably fit in your pocket. Thank you, Apple. The moment you introduced the Mini was the moment I became a loyal customer.

The iPhone 5 was my favorite phone that Apple ever made. However the mini took the 5's spot as my favorite Apple device now. I understand the mini is not for everyone but for me its perfect. I came from an 11 Pro and every year have been wanting something smaller and finally got it.
