Staff + magical daggers = happy place. Spellblade here I come.

Look I know we're all sceptical, but I'm just really looking forward to this. I'm not even going to go in expecting anything but just... "It'll be fun". I'm tired of being angry about games, studios, and their shortcomings. I'm hoping Bioware pulls us all back in, with this.

I found it interesting that the specializations have the various factions icons above them. In Origins, you had to have rapport with a party member to be "taught" the specializations. So they might have made a return to that, or perhaps there will be faction specific quests or reputation we need to build with those factions?

The game is growing on me. I really would appreciate it if they showed the 3rd person camera looking up at the sky.

Played an Arcane Warrior in DAO, and a Knight Enchanter in DAI; so will be going Spellbade for DAtV (still don't like that abbreviation lol).

I hope dual magic daggers aren't the only thing we're saddled with, since I usually save Rogue runs for after a Mage run lol

What do you think about not being able to play as your companions anymore? It was one of my favorite features in the other DA games. @wolfheartFPS

I liked all the Dragon Age games, but felt the most impactful in the classes given in Dragon Age 2. Of course, from what we've seen and probably expect, Veilguard should offer the best graphics and mechanics to date. I'm happy with what I've seen and if things are done well all around, I'll be glad to try out all the classes. Mage usually seems to be my first choice.

Maybe the relationship thing with the companions works like it did in dragon age 2 where you get different perks or something depending on if they are your friend or rival

Dwarf rogue in DA:O, human warrior in DA2, elven mage in DA:I, so gotta go with a qunari here, though not sure on the class. The coolest background will probably decide which way I go

In a Dragon Age Inquisition party banter, Vivienne tries to subtly call out Solas as a hypocrite for his opinion on blight magic vs. blood magic, but he explains blood magic "when properly used" isn't as bad as she thinks. In the game I believe he also on a separate occasion mentions the difficulty of accessing the fade when using blood magic? If true, "story reasons" explained as The Veilguard. Also as the Inquisitor using "blood magic" was going to be a "No" story wise. Unless your main character has no religious authority position and no story demanding fade accessibility, I do not see being a blood mage as a possibility.

As I understand it, 80% of these “boosts” are passives like “By performing a light attack from behind on an enemy born when the moon was in the constellation Sagittarius, you get +10% crit power for 5 seconds”?
P.S. It's very interesting to use one of the 3 (3 Karl!!!!) buttons once a minute...

I hope there will be a mod which extends the number of active skills from the screenshot at 7:10 I can imagine adding 4 extra slots without an issue, I don't understand why they limit active skills to 3 only it is such a bummer for RPG game, but because it is ARPG, just press more buttons don't overthink everything :)
