In this video I show you how simple it is to connect your Nest doorbell battery to you nest hub.

This allows you to automatically view and hear the doorbell when it is pressed.

I also show you how you can talk to the person at the doorbell. I also show you how to communicate using responses so the doorbell will talk to the visitor for you.

I also show you how to set up and use face detection if you subscribe to Nest protect.

Missed an important step. For me, after adding both my hubs and doorbell battery into Google Home they didn't annouce automatically. I had to go into the doorbell inside of Google Home and then click on the settings icon on the top right. after that you need to click on doorbell. Then you need to toggle on Visitor announcements for it to announce someone is at the doorbell on your Nest Hubs. Thanks for the video.

So I have three Hubs in the house. Two work perfectly. The third one used to show video when someone rang the Nest doorbell. Now it doesn't. I can hear sound but says video unavailable. Have tried everything, even a reset. No luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Don't know what else to try. Thanks.

That don't really show you how to work it. I have mine connected and when it rings it just rings on my phone. Any idea what I have done wrong

Thank you for this good explanation. The part that still seems odd to me (and maybe I'm missing something here) is that I do not have the functions for viewing on the hub that I have on my Android phone app. For example: On my phone app I can see a history events that took place on the camera by simple scrolling through them. However, I cannot find a way to see these same events on the Hub. Is there a way?

Make sure Do Not Disturb is OFF on your Google home hub! Even though my Hub was NOT on Do Not Disturb, I had to turn it off for the doorbell to work.

Hi, does anybody know, how to change the ring tone of the nest hub? It is very silent, when you do something you can not hear it...

Are the Nest Protect (fire alarms) compatible with Nest Doorbell? Will they work as a speaker so I will get a notification on every Nest Protect through the house?
Can’t find the answer to this question anywhere 🤷🏼‍♀️

Quick comment, adding on to an excellent you have Google Home downtime, or night settings enabled, turn 'em you want to hear the doorbell, and see who's there! I added the doorbell, and I was like, 'how come I don't see it when someone rings the doorbell?' Unchecked downtime and night....and I'm good!!!!

Does the bell need to be wired to work with other google devics. I can't hear the doorbell but can't get it to sound on google mini nest or google nest hub

I've had the Nest doorbell and google home for a few years and its always told me when someone is at the door. However I switched WIFI network yesterday from spectrum to google fiber. Now although they are both in Google home app and in the same "home" the doorbell is working and I can the camera as well. However it no longer says "someone is at your front door". I looked at all the settings over and over I do not see why. Any idea?

Ok, so I think I missed a step. But I think I got it. So once I got both the doorbell and hub set up on the Google Home app, I go into the doorbell and then settings. And right under device features select doorbell then turn on visitor announcements. Cool, it works now.
