Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from international cricket, marking the end of a career filled with numerous world records.
On December 18, Ravichandran Ashwin officially announced his retirement.
Ashwin's father had hinted that Ashwin was unhappy because he was repeatedly dropped from the playing XI.
However, with his retirement, his illustrious career has also come to an end.
Ravichandran Ashwin played a total of 106 Test matches, taking 537 wickets in his career.
He is India’s second-highest wicket-taker in Test matches after Anil Kumble.
Globally, he holds the record for being the fastest player to take 250, 300, and 350 wickets in Test matches.
Not only in bowling, but Ashwin also made records in batting.
In the entire world, only three players have achieved the feat of taking 500 wickets and scoring 3,000 runs in Test matches.
