Sold my Apollo twin and got a UCX II a month ago and couldn’t be happier. Conversion is more transparent, drivers and interface with my M1 MacBook Pro is 10x smoother. Big up RME

I purchased a fireface ufx 3 a few months ago and it literally changed my life 😂 best gear decision I have ever made. Total mix is a life saver.

My babyface arrived today, i just setup routing and snapshots on 2 of my buttons. I use it for livesets, in case Ableton crashes i click the button and my headphone output of my digitakt is directly routed to main out. That way i can play some beats while rebooting. It's freakin awesome and that way i don't have to drag along a seperate mixer. Love your studio setup!

Awesome video and cool to see your setup! I've been running RME for years, owned an OG Babyface, Babyface Pro, Babyface Pro FS and UFX+. I always recommend RME to my friends, most of whom have been swayed by the "cool factor" and marketing of the UA ecosystem. I understand the appeal of UA and their plugins, but with RME I get HALF the round trip latency (6ms at 128 buffer, or 4ms at 64 buffer) over a USB 2.0 connection that a friend's Apollo gets (13ms at 128 buffer) over Thunderbolt 3 and I can monitor through my DAW with any plugins I want & zero perceivable latency.... I can mix full sessions with 60+ tracks, tons of VSTs and my CPU intensive mastering chain on a 64 sample buffer without so much as a hiccup from my Babyface Pro FS. The converters, mic pres and headphone amps are the cleanest I've ever used, especially in a desktop format interface. This is true PROFESSIONAL grade, German engineered, equipment that has the stability and reliability to be trusted in the studio or on stage. Totalmix FX is the icing on the cake, with the most flexible routing I've ever seen.

Word! RME got amazing support with multi-platform drivers for current and decade old hardware, incredible agile routing, which is so easy to scale up, clean low floor noise converters. After getting my PCI Hammerfall 9652 (which still you can use) I've never looked back and now i'm with UCX II. These guys are just the best! Love them!

RME 4 life!!! Have a UCX interface for many years now and it never let me down. such a nice product and you're absolutely right about the drivers, they're just working like butter. Thanks a lot for your video, it gave me a great inspiration to get more into total mix, thanks mate!

Looking at new interfaces for my new space I'll be moving into later this year; RME has always been an option; but never explored this creative routing before; or even been aware of it! Good share;!

As a RME UFX III user paired with the ARC remote as well, can definitely vouch for its quality and flexibility!

I can vouch for this setup almost to the tee. ADI 2 Pro Fs/ Digiface/ FerroFish. This is hands down the best sounding interface combo I’ve ever had, but more importantly, for the year I’ve had it, I’ve had no problems. No drop outs, no lag, no cpu spikes, , , etc. etc. You can obviously get the UFX3 now for cheaper than the combo we have, that’s the only draw back. Totalmix is an amazing bonus feature.

Great video as always. Do you find it a struggle producing/mixing while having an untreated/reflective room?

So it's basically like running a live digital mixer built for a studio environment. Dope!

I got an RME Babyface pro like 2 years ago based on their latency being lower than everyone else at low buffers. Probably cause they make their own drivers.

This is the exact setup I was going for but with only the Fireface UCX(Ferrofish handling most of the analog IO through ADAT). RME is rock solid. PERIOD.

Great review! I have a small home studio (studio one, asr 10, analog heat mk2, maschine mk3), i was wondering if i take this type interface (ucx2), do i need to get another converter (apogee etc...)? i believe the Rme converters of the interdace are already really good right?
