Hi Chris,

I hope you had a wonderfull Christmas.
Just recently I have seen an online article claiming that tha Ivermectin arm of the Principle trial has been put on hold because Merck can not or will not (Not very clear on this point) supply any more Ivermectin to the trial?
Would you be able to comment on this please.

Please give ivermectin a fair shake. 14 days post symptom onset is not a fair shake. 3 small dosages is not a fair shake.

If you truly believe that principle is for the people by the people, you will not proceed until the endpoints and parameters are vastly improved

Any update on the Ivermectin trial yet? (March 2023).

Hi Chris,
If anybody looks at the trials already completed on Ivermectin, they would see that it should be tested as a preventative and also used as early as possible in the infection stage. This is how you really stop people ending up in hospital.
Please please please do not give us another Colombian trial, that so called gold standard trial should be withdrawn from publication as it makes a mockery of this whole testing process.

Are you going to follow the science or follow the money? I supose that we will see in due course. (Not trying to upset you but it seems that everybody and his dog are terrified of even mentioning Ivermectin let alone saying anything positive)

I am pretty sure that Merck are feeling a tad worried about possibly loosing a contract worth $1.2 Billion if Ivermectin works as well as we all hope..

Biasing a trial to produce a false negative result is very easy — for example, in a trial of an antiviral that works within the first 24 hours of symptom onset, trial organizers only need to avoid treating people within the first 24 hours; or with a disease like COVID-19, organizers only need to select a low-risk population where most people recover quickly without treatment. Example of bias at high levels of technique and approaches ending in scientific misconduct:

Fordham et al., OSF Preprints, “The uses and abuses of systematic reviews”: Analysis of defects in the Popp et al. Cochrane meta analysis.
