I have a disability and I have anxiety when i approach women but i learn to test the water by just making my move with a smile on my face and facing my fears. I'm not afraid of rejection anymore because it makes me a better person. I learned to be confident and assertive.

Here's another word of advice - yes, if you have a lot of confidence, you can land the fish in some way, whether it's her number or hit the sack with her or something, but also if you have this confidence she will immediately mirror you and you will not see what she is really like. She will reflect back at you and you will think she is great when really you're just admiring yourself in a sort of mirror. You only tell what a person is like in bad times, or when they have spent enough time with you and the grass looks greener elsewhere even if you still have some confidence. Watch how she treats others who have less confidence, for that is how she will eventually treat you.
