Plot twist, the “new” phones were the ones they dropped, but they weren’t actually “new”, because they bought them for cheap without the battery, processor, and etc inside the phone, that’s why all the phone screens were black in the end because usually they would still be working from a fall like that, but it’s actually because the main electronic parts in the phones are missing, so that for videos they could pretend to get gifted the phones they already own.

Edit: Also I just noticed how all the phones look like super cheap IPhone 5s now that I watched it again.
