From what I've seen, they don't believe the outrage on social media is actually representative of what the player base wants. They should host a poll inside of the actual game that asks players if they want more king tower and card levels to be added.

I’ve been playing CR for 2 years now and this has to be the worst update ever the EWC count is insane and then changing the gem mastery to gold is horrendous this is the first time I’ve been able to rack up gems and it’s with the card masteries. Please listen to your community CR

Card evolution: look fun even if flawed.
Card level 15: change to it can happen if we speak out enough.
Masteries nerf: unfathomable in possibly justifying it.

I’ve loved playing this game since global launch, but the masteries nerf might just be the final straw if it goes through.

One of my biggest issues with this is that people keep trying to say these devs care about the game and they don't want it dead and all right. I dont see how the devs can be so out of touch with not only the game itself but the entire community. This is just another major kick in the balls for f2p and even light spenders. The biggest complaint is about people being over leveled in this game and this and evolutions is just yet another way for the f2ps to fall behind yet again. At this point it just genuinely does seem like they don't care at all.

As a totally f2p player who only has one max deck and is 6000 trophies, level 15 and card evolutions will not even affect me. One of my favorite aspects of the game is collecting funny emotes and sometimes bm emotes and that is the only thing I spend my gems on. Removing gems from masteries has to be the worst thing here to affect me and I probably will not collect those masteries hoping that they one day reverse it.

Getting gems in the masteries gave me hope after the last update because I could get gems to buy emotes or gold when I needed it, now their taking that away from me. I might quit the game depending on if they release the update like this.

It is absolutely insane that the team that has screwed up so many time still tries to convince us that “data” is on their side. Idk what kind of data they are using but if it was my career on the line I would damn sure use different ones.

I'm going to be the odd one out here, but I'm a fully casual player that has played the game since release in North America. Over time, the addition of levels, champions, and otherwise never really affected me since I don't spend a dime on the game. The way ladder changed forced my playtime to be more focused on the challenges (where all cards are equal). It's sad that some challenges don't have this "fair play" condition. I'd like to play touchdown without getting slapped by overleveled cards, but I've found that games without the fair playing field just aren't fun anymore. I only play challenges now, and the evolutions they've added can't even be used there. If I recall correctly, champions were added pretty quickly to the fair play games; it makes me wonder if they'll do the same here or not.

Regardless, besides the balance changes, this update has little to no effect on my style of play. I'll probably continue to play CR for a few more months, but the restraints of fair play games makes it rather hard to find joy and excitement in the same games over and over. Yes, friendly battles do exist, but I know nobody who plays Clash Royale besides myself and finding them online is hit and miss.

What do I think of the update? Eh, 4/10: The mysteries change was really unnecessary. It makes non-fair-play games harder, but at least it added good balance changes. I have but one quarrel with them, though: nerf miner (don't actually)

Dude, for the last 3 years I am staying in a same clan. Literally i became friend with those players. Due to the arrival of lvl 15, many players in my clan particularly coleaders quit the game and some are deciding to quit the game. I honestly don't know how to react to this massive downfall of my clan and the game. Even if they revert the update, it's too late. I can also quit the game but the 5 to 6 years I spent on this game flash through my eyes.
