This show was my 5th time seeing Metallica, but my 73 year old father on the other hand it was his first. He usually only listens to jazz or blues, but he said to me he wanted to see Metallica live before they hung it up. During this song I looked to my right where he was standing and there he was, head banging screaming HEY with everyone else and throwing up the double metal horns. It's an image and memory I will have forever. Also made a new metalhead along the way.

After you hear James saying “HERE IS SOME OLD STUFF” you know that something good is coming

The whole band is killing it. James' playing/singing on point. Kirk smashing the solos and let's not forget the riffs he is also mirroring during verses. Rob in the pocket, fantastic energy. Lars driving the song, in time, smashing it. 40 years and it just doesn't slow down.

5:50 The way James trying not to laugh after that scream is cracking me up

I love when Rob screams (5:51) and it makes James laugh (5:57).

Insecurities can hit anybody, proof is right here. James Hetfield is self-concious about his playing ability, yet he is one of the most talented frontmen and guitarists i've ever seen. Not to mention his song writing ability.
I am so grateful that they are still performing live and doing all that they can for their fans.

Hands down the best crowd in America. Boston, you hold the crown.

O.K. Kirk not just killing but outright obliterating that solo is one thing, but doing it with a Boris Karloff "The Mummy" themed guitar while wearing a Misfits shirt is just next level awesome.

What is happening with these guys? I mean they have always been amazing live, but they just keep getting better and better! So much energy, everyone is just clicking. Between this and the last upload (Whiplash), they are just absolutely killing it! I can not wait until August when I get to see them for the 11th time. 1, 000% worth the 7 hour drive to Pittsburgh!

40 years later I'm still listening to Metallica

They haven’t played it that well in years. Imagine down picking that entire song at nearly 60. Fucking legends.

Best band to ever step on a stage. I have saw a lot, but not all. To this day so far Metallica is undefeated. No other big band brought the energy that Metallica does. Go see for yourself if you don't believe me. You won't be disappointed

2:45 The ultimate guitar hero pic, the sea of crowd throwing down while you do the brutal guitar slide, right before destroying the ridiculous solo right in front of everyone. Amazing. Long live Metallica

Ride the Lightning is one of my favourites! This motivated me to give it a try on the drums like Lars! 🤘
