Suspect identified in deadly New Orleans truck attack

The suspect in the deadly New Year's truck attack in New Orleans has been identified as Shamsud Din Jabbar, two federal officials tell CBS News. At least 10 people were killed in the attack. CBS News' Anna Schecter has more.

I'm in Vegas and we had busses blocking the streets protecting the crowd after the German incident. It was preventable.

So sorry for the innocent people in beautiful New Orleans. We had this type of truck attack first in Berlin in 2016 with 11 people killed on a christmas market, and we just had a similar attack with a smaller BMW this Dec in Magdeburg. Our bigger outdoor events are seemingly blocked off like fortresses and guarded, but the truth is if evil wants to strike there is not much individual security anywhere and anything can be a weapon. Very sad.
