Most hair dressers and barbers don’t understand style. They just cut hair so it’s kinda hard to get a professional opinion

here 90% of barbers are random guys that didnt even learn it in a school, only the owner knows all the employees can do is cut the most popular style at the time so everytime you go in you walk out looking like everyone else.
i went in shoulder length hair wanted a trim on the ends and walked out with 5 cm left on my head and 1mm sides literal assault

Yeah the gel thing scarred me because I was literally so harshly bullied it broke me apart. Now I’m way more sensitive about how my hair looks than I should be. I used texturing powder now which is good but my mom hates that I don’t get my haircut super short and that I don’t use gel because she was the one who had me doing it. But you’ve helped a lot. Thanks

Here’s the real question, where can I find a barber like you. Istg any barber I’ve been to has showed me how great at not doing their job right they are 😢

I live in the country side. There are no professional hairstylists. I don’t even dare step into barber shops.

I dont like shiny. I dont have that typical thick asian stubborn hair so i tend to use matt products more.
