Id say its a mix of everything, his personal life, injuries and an aging squad

Personal home matters, injuries, and all teams go through rebuilding phases of sorts after long domination stretches. It's really impressive Pep's "worst" season still has him challenging for 2nd or 3rd league position, a good season for 90% of teams in the league.

Pep has been a victim of his own success and perfection. Jose being his savage self as always.

Fuck it, I'll be the one exposing the elephant in the room:
He was never that good to begin with, had no plan for Rodri injury and shows again and again to be reluctant to give freedom to his players.

Football is always evolving, teams are more prepared to deal with Pep tactics in 2025 than in 2010. In the evolution of things, the next big manager will emerge, to spearhead the change.

Shows the level of Guardiola that in his worst season he is only 4th in the league 🐐
If any other manager in the world finish 4th nobody would say what the hell is happening to them 😅😅

Most overrated coach of all time.

Strongest FCB of all time + Negreira, Best veteran squad of Bayern player, OIL MONEY City.

He doesn’t have an answer to one player.

Ancelloti and Mourinho would never.

I believe his players are only fit to play 70 minutes, just how Diego simeone prepares his players only for 70 mins, pep’s players can’t perform well past the 70th or 60th

Liverpool 18/19 and 19/20 scales over Centurions, Fourmidables and Treble Winners because in those two season Liverpool achieved 97 and 99 points back to back seasons where in the 18/19 The Reds won the Champions League for a 6th time and in the 19/20 season The Reds won the UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and Premier League for the 1st time and 19th overall. Also, during these two seasons Liverpool had a 44 unbeaten streak in the league till that 3-0 defeat to Watford.
Chelsea Women dynasty where Emma Hayes and her Blues won the WSL 5 times consecutively, A Domestic Treble and 3 Domestic Doubles consecutively and A Centurion of 58 Points. This season for a potential historic 6th consecutively WSL title while doing it unbeaten and the quadruple. (League Cup winners, 9 points clear as of right now, Fa Cup semi finalists and the second leg of the UEFA Women's Champions League ahead of tonight clash vs Manchester City Women)

Also, Pep’s decision making had begun to slide since the 23/24 season when we saw a 133%+ increase on goals conceded on the counter attack by opposition which he did nothing to address. Additionally, City begins to play a much slower pace last season with a lot of lateral passes and back passes which was advantageous to the opposition as it gave them time to reset their defensive shape, flood the box and suck out space for Haaalnd to operate in. We saw this used to great effect by Real Madrid at the Etihad when we had 33 shots 8/9 on goal and only 1 went in.

Other teams began adopting the blueprint that Don Carlos used, and that’s exactly how MU beat City in the FA cup final last season: counter attack us and keep a tight shape and flood the box. Worked like a charm. And now this season, our defensive system is even more aggressive/risky (while getting no coverage from our MF), we’re just as slow and now teams are counter attacking at every turn and we’re conceding left right and center. But Pep does nothing for the defensive system but has no problem changing the attacking system and MF. Makes no sense, but that’s what he’s been doing all season

Pep is ofc the worst coach of all time, does not matter he has 30 trophies in less than 20 seasons and ofc if you gave same amount of money and years and cheating to arteta or someone else they would easily have won ALL the titles even every year sextuple or quadruple so yeah just accept that Pep is trash manager

He should borrow a page from Anceloti as it concerns squad depth and rotation. Building a team or squad around one or two players is a risky bet. He is paying the price of "diminishing returns" which is entirely natural.
