the most impressive thing is that he didn't delete everyone's comments
guy is humble

"68, the number Allison chose FREELY" he said that too many times. Even my muggle eyes saw through him

This was such an obvious force. During chat he set the counter to 89XX…then proceeded to increment the XX normally with Alison but then flipped the counter (he is holding it upside down when he is showing it to the audience) so the first two digits are to the right and upside down show as XX68, while he is obstructing the left side (the XX) with his finger -that was the part that Allison was incrementing.

I was impressed until Nate turned over the binary code thingy to proper numbers.. The moment he did that it was clear the number 68 was forced..

2:18 He's holding the clicker upside down. That's really the number 89XX.. When he reset it, he stopped at 8888 and gave it a few clicks. As long as she said stop before 100 clicks, the number, when upside down, , is 68.
The rest is just playing with numbers..
Still fun to watch.

I don't really like to see a trick that has an obvious (and awkward) force in the beginning, then a fixed scenario with a fixed outcome, it's just boring. When Maths is involved, usually magicians add something to complicate and hide the Maths part, but here, nothing, just plain sight. I'm sorry

I think he turned the reset dial to 8888... Then he clicked 12 times while he was talking so the number is 8900 + x clicks. Then he hides the first two numbers and shows us the inverted view of the clicker which reads 68.. once the force is performed, the rest is self explanatory.. but it’s a great trick.. loved his performance.. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Still one of the most down-to-earth humble people I’ve ever met.

It’s a beautiful routine. I had the same reaction as Penn and Teller to the reveal at the end. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t feel like Alyson really chose the number. Even if I didn’t know how it was done, I would still feel like it was clearly a force.

Not sure if you’ve tweaked your trick, but another thing you can do to make it less obvious is when you spin the transparency to reveal a match, show that if you had spun the transparency the other way, it reveals another set of numbers. So you can start by having an audience member say left or right without knowing why. Then force the number on them and then rotate it the direction they picked. But basically say “if you had said the other direction, it wouldn’t have worked.”

The main trick might have been a bit easy to notice, especially with the slip of the tongue about the "first numbers" instead of "last numbers" as it should have been. But the rotation part was pretty neat and I am almost certain I have seen it in one or two escapes rooms. Like you, I am an avid player of those. At least I was before the pandemic made most of the shut down.

Idk how I feel about taking a math based trick that’s hinged on a gimmicky force onto Fool Us. The effect at the end was kinda cool, and the generic awkward banter was a little charming, this just feels like an act that would fit more on a America’s got talent type show rather than Fool Us

How amazing it would have been if it was 42...

We were so close to perfection. So close to greatness.

I think it could have been cool to finish the drawing of the lines at the end so it looks like you're adapting it to the random number picked ("lets add lines to reach 68", boom magic square). Idk if the "fast math part" go well with the prediction part that give away the force. Indeed the only way the prediction works (not hidden not modified) is a force and even if it was very cool, it weakens the first part imo. I think doing only the 2nd effect with the FOOL US one you skipped would have been stronger. Random opinion and you prob though about it before, but the show was great.

Literally the second he introduced the clicker I went back and listened to see if she actually stopped on 68 clicks. If a normal person like me gets sussed out at that moment before the trick even starts, how do u expect to get Penn & Teller with it

This is the 2nd time I've watched this. The trick might be very obvious but I like the way you presented it. Great attitude too. I hope you continue doing magic and perform again in FU ❤

I hope you never give up on magic, keep up the good work.

I like the routines that impress Penn and Teller just as much, if not more than the ones that outright fool them.
