Every child is insanely curious. Somehow, the public school system manages to kill the third most powerful instinct that people have.

Everybody complains about the school system but i have never heard of an education system in the world that doesn’t have this problem so I’ve just accepted that its just how humans are always going to be

It's conformity... Conflict and fear...

You are supposed to learn self discipline. And exercise self discipline to master some skills.
Which entails hard work that's not always pleasant.

Tyson will tell to let our kids jump in mud puddles! Let them tear the legs off a daddy-long legs. Let them pull all the pots and pans from the cabinet and scatter them on the kitchen floor.

It's noteworthy that neither of Tyson's kids are accomplished scientists. Neither is Neil

Yeah, the parents are garbage and never encouraged them to learn anything...
Problem isn't school, the problem is the entire mentality we have in our society. We feel entitled to everything and expect everything to be handed to us under our parameters without any compromise at any time.

Your biggest job in school is conformity. If you are a little different then you won't be taught. At least when I was in school, oh yes, and also my biggest Job was to satisfy the sex drive of the teachers and keep quite about it or they would tell my parents I was being bad and I would get caned. That's British boarding schools for you.
