Hello everyone and welcome to QuicksaveTV!

I'm so glad to have you here, because today we're going to talk about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim once again. In this tutorial we'll discuss the specifics of the Light Armor - starting with perks and finishing how to increase the skill itself. I'll give some recommendations along the way and I hope it will help you!

Sadly, Giants weren't helping me with the making of the video, however I hope you enjoy it nontheless!

Yes, because Wind Walker is passive and does not require you to switch to your spells, whereas healing spells with respite are last resort option, when you need to restore your energy immediately.

I have an archer and amongst my archer, mage(destruction) and warrior(1-handed+shield) I like him the most!!
Archery FTW!

@Slininstien that is because as you grow in skill in Smithing, your Light can surpass Heavy and wise versa. It's absolutely logical but it does not represent the real situation. E.g. Heavy armor upgraded using same magnitude with same skills would still be much stronger.

@epidemicrat Nope... Sadly, I wasn't able to show it but the STRENGTH of the hit matters very much. In some of the skills in the game strength actually influences a lot. Example: Heavy armor, Light armor and Lockpicking.

In both H. and L. Armor the harder the hit, the faster you level.

In Lockpicking - the harder the lock the more you get for breaking it.

Some skills are not influenced a lot by this, such as enchanting (disenchant gives more), smith and alchemy (almost sure its not)

You are not wrong, in fact you can reach the cap without spending perks in Light armor at all. However, if you pay attention to the date when it was uploaded, you will soon realize that it was a one of a kind video at a time and much of the common knowledge today was not available back then.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

@TheMcBubblz Hey, McBubblz!
Ok, so the matching set gives you a bonus percentage of armor when you have parts of one set equipped on you. There are about 15-20 sets in the game and each of them are made from a distinct material and have mutually unique appearance. In order to get the promised bonus, equip helmet, gauntlets, body armor and boots.
Good luck!

@TheMcBubblz exactly, you got this right! There is another one, for SPECIFIC type of armor, for that one it doesn't matter which set you are wearing.

@TheeFreakiishlyz yeah, that's correct! But the point is, at some point (587, I think) Damage Rating just stops influencing your damage resistance, so there really is no point in taking all of it.

@Jabberxd Stormcloaks, because:
A. Empire surrendered to the Aldmeri Dominion;
B. Talos's Bloodline interrupted LONG ago;
C. They do not protect interests of Skyrim;
D. Thalmor are free to do whatever they want in Skyrim;
E. Talos was banned;
F. Empire already attempted to kill me for no reason;
G. Empire is too trigger happy;
H. Empire is weak;
I. Imperials are very cocky for no reason.
P.S. - That's my personal opinion.

Yeap, it is, at the time I've made this video I did not know that :P Sorry for the inconvenience.

if the perk explicitly states that you have to have the same armor equipped, then no. Otherwise, you will receive bonus (theoretically) even if all of your light armor items are from different sets.

i agree with you HostMikePushkin my light armor was at the beginning it was 36, i got a bite from a dragon, and my skills instantly leveled to 37 and left me with like 10 HP.
it also works on pickpockets the lower % to pickpocket the item the faster you level. i got 100 in pickpockets and im just level 31. now a question, how your bow reloads so fast? mine is reloads arrows slower.

@dbearTO From my observation, shield does not contribute to the levelling of Light/Heavy Armor, however I can't say for certain. Keep in mind, my observation is primarily based off of the observations on a very high level, but even when I was using a low level Khajiit the tendency was the same.
There is a possibility that shield helps you level Light/Heavy Armor when you don't block, but that's all just speculation.

Precisely for Light armor. Dragonbone is slightly worse than Daedric, however. These are abstract, in reality, even an iron armor can be brought to a maximum damage mitigation state.

I am satisfied with the way combat is right now, but I do not think that having dodge moves would hurt the game, in fact it would make it even more fun.

Hey HMP i was just wondering if you were going to do a revision on some of the in detail series, particularly this one because of misinformation such as the perks needed to reach the 567 80% damage reduction cap?

If the time is not an issue, any enemy that CANNOT kill you. If it is, any enemy that hits hard, but you have enough time to heal out.
The harder the hits, the faster the levelling. Same goes for shield and heavy armor.
