Skyrim: Reach The Armor Cap With Any Gear

Hey, this is my first tutorial video, so go easy on me. This video describes how to make any set of gear reach the armor cap, as long as you have 100 Alchemy, Enchanting, Smithing, and whatever armor you use. This method does not use any exploits, either!

Brief rundown:
-Buy and drink an Enchanter's Elixir
-Make Fortify Alchemy gear (28% x 4)
-Put on that gear
-Make Fortify Enchantment Potions (32%)
-Make new Fortify Alchemy gear (29% x 4)
-Make Fortify Smithing gear (29% x 4)
-Put on next Fortify Alchemy gear
-Make Fortify Smithing potions (130%)
-Put on your Fortify Smithing gear
-Drink crafted Fortify Smithing potion
-Temper all gear you intend to use

So basically my Daedric armor with a rating of 1700+ is useless because only 567 armor points are actually being used? That correct?

Love this - it doesn't abuse a glitch, fits within the lore, and still results in some bad-ass armor ratings. Cheers!

This is why Steel plate armor is my favorite. I think it looks the best. I used to go for The strongest armor, but getting the materials was always just tedious, and all it gives you that Legendary steel plate doesn't is an intimidation bonus, which I don't care for much. The Deathbrand is technically the best, but I like having the freedom of selecting my own armor enchantments.

You don't need to do any of that. All you have to do is, Enchant, Gloves, Blacksmiths Apron, A Necklace, and a Ring with fortify blacksmithing. At 100 Enchanting and a grand soul gem Each piece will get Fortifiy Blacksminthing 25%. That's 100% improvement any armour in the game will reach the armour cap.

If you are using high level armor like daedric you don't need to take as many points in heavy armor I capped with 2/5 but, you do need to take more points in smithing but you could always reclaim them with legendary skill thingy

My opinion: it would be easier if you just buid a Daedric armor which require only 90 (100 for legendary) skill in smithing then get the perk in heavy armor that will make any heavy armor weight less. Plus daedric armor looks super cool

y'all should've used a falmer helmet and a circlet together for alchemy

you could actually do it with ANY armor lower than leather as long as you keep doing the alchemy part for a better example watch gamingcoachX's video using the fortify restoration glitch to create INSANE smithing potions

Is fur armor too weak for this? I like the look of it

I don't understand the point of heavy armor when it's so easy to reach the armor cap with light armor.

I smashed the armour cap with ebony armour, I'm level 37 and my alchemy/enchanting is beetween 60-70. I'm a bit annoyed to be honest as I feel I've wasted perks

It's gonna take me forever to get my alchemy and enchanting to 100... Anything I could do to go up faster?
