I wish they had buses from the airport years ago, I hated taking taxis cuz the drivers always tried to cheat me until I conversed with them in Greek and they realized I was an Actual Greek!

You forgot to say about metro…there is a connection of port with airport by metro (50minutes) and with the centre of Athens (30minutes)

Much preferred and less crowded than the metro where you have a great chance to be robbed.
Luckily they still accept cash and you won't loose your time figuring out how to issue a ticket.

The airport buses are ok but for no reason use the city buses old, dirty, not serviced properly and a lot of theft . Avoid at all costs also be careful of cab drivers given the opportunity they will rip you off . Be careful
