I am a second owner of an 89 Gts. It had 160k when I got it (my grandmothers car) I love it but the AC leaks and it doesn't seem to get hot air pushing through in the winter time. I replaced the radiator because the upper valve broke and then in the center of the radiator it cracked and started spraying and I will say taking the old one out, it was in horrible shape but not paying attention at buying aftermarket, the fill nozzle and upper hose locations are in the center (yes it saved me a few dollars) but the headache of running hoses was not worth it.

I had a chance to buy one 3 years ago(gts) and didn't. I really wish I did now, they are so hard to find

Where did you get the air filter pipe? Because a new oe one is around $100. I had mine wrapped with aluminum tape to keep it from leaking. Also is it just me or do you feel a lag in the car when the AC is on full blast?

Hahahaha, sorry man. I find it freaking hilarious that you mention mechanical issue's (Most of which I have never encountered after owning multiple AE92's) that aren't all that common, are not really model related problems and can largely be prevented with good maintenance.
But you are leaving out the elephant in the room and what is ultimately the most common problem on all of them (and is very much a problem on you car as well by the looks of it) and is often what really kills them: They RUST BADLY!

The mechanics and electrics will keep going for decades (if treated and maintained properly) but the rust is what sends most of them to the graveyard.

Another common problem is the so called '5th gear popout' problem where the gearbox won't stay in 5th gear anymore without holding the gearlever in place by hand.

Don't want to bash you or anything. Glad people are finally giving the AE92 some love. But I just can't stand misinformation.
