Found a couple mistakes I‘ve been making, even as a longtime Korean speaker. Good to know. These are the kinds of things that people won’t really correct you on during conversation, so long as they understand you.

TTMIK is such a dynamic platform to learn. It's obviously very resourceful. I would have never known that 당신 word should not be used like that until I found it in TTMIK. Such contents are so helpful. Thankful to the teachers and staff behind the scenes working to bring out such contents...you guys are amazing.! I'm missing 승원 선생님.! Please tell him I'm his big fan...One day I will surely meet 승원 선생님 and go for backpacking with him..😬😅💝

I think its probably a great sign that i learned some of these recently on my own! I came up with the question about 를/을 필요해 vs 이/가 필요해 on my own and my korean tutor cleared it up exactly as you said, then i looked up the info for how/when/why 싶어해 is used on my own recently too

in regards to Rule 1: I am the one non Korean person at my work. And when I am brave enough to say things in Korean to them, they get UPSET when I speak to them formally and they like to remind me were the same age and friends. I almost cried trying to explain to them that, unfortunately, most people I meet I cannot speak casually to, and to please understand that I need to " practice my yo's " hahahah

I spent 2 years trying to wrap my head around nuances like the one in mistake #12. And there are so many others 😅 But for now, thank you so much! I'm all clear with this one now.

This was a wonderful review from the things we covered in the live class online! I actually made the mistake of 죄송합니다 at a funeral last week. I knew I wasn't supposed to say that but got so flustered that I didn't know what else to say. Many thanks for making this video lesson!

I must say that at this point, your voice sounds very familiar to me haha I think I would recognize it even sooner than some of singers xD I have been with TTMIK from the beginning, I think. It was a small website with free pdf and an mp3 files.. You were my first teachers of Korean and I can't find anyone else. You made everything so easy for understanding and despite English not being my native language, I learned more from you than any other sites in my own language. SO, thank you so much for teaching us! You are the best!

I am so glad you brought up 존댓말 because I am glad that so many people feel like sharing free lessons and resources to be accessible, i only ever saw one person teach in polite speech instead of informal back when I was on tiktok (and he was a professional teacher, so it made sense) and it's so frustrating to see im so confused why everyone has decided to teach only 반말 as default. I have many kind korean friends to exchange language with and many say we can speak 반말 but i politely request them to use 존댓말 so that it is my default since I can't speak well enough to switch between the two easily (and they are always super understanding of this)
