Naturally, some Hogwarts teachers were going to be on this list, and Minerva McGonagall is not about to get bested by Harry.

He’d definitely lose against: Sirius, Grindelwald, possibly his own dad, Kingsley, Hagrid (this is not because of Hagrid being an outstanding wizard but rather because he’d simply snap him in half if he wanted to) and possibly Hermione who simply knows more spells.

Ok so to those saying Harry would Hermione for sure - my view on that is that Harry was a good wizard but not an outstanding, amazing wizard. In every book he won by the mix of skill AND luck. Hermione is a really good witch which has been stated by a lot of wizards. She would definitely give him a run for his money, maybe Harry would win but maybe not, I think she would definitely stand a chance against him.
I mentioned Sirius and James and not Lupin because although we don’t know much about James - we do know that Sirius and James were super smart and really good at duelling (my phone was very insistent on correcting “duelling” to “farting” here btw and it made me chuckle but we don’t have any info on THAT😂) and this is why I didn’t include Lupin, because he lacked that bravado of the other two. They would come up with curses and hexes that wouldn’t even cross Lupin’s mind during a fight.

I think if voldy was sane, then he stood a chance. Those horcruxs left him but a shell of his former self, so it gave Harry a handycap in the final duel

Anyone can beat him in duel but no one even come closer to him ( how to dual) in a life threatening situation.
No wonder only he and he was the choosen one because he blindly believed the path of Dumbledore with complete dead honesty. Only he was believing that he can defeat the voldemort and will send him to the hell. Non of the teachers were courageous enough to face voldemort in dual ( except Dumbledore) every one tried to remain in shades but only Harry and Dumbledore was there to openly challenge the dark LORD and his forces. There is a reason why Severus Snape was never got selected for the gryffindor house. There is a reason why Mrs McGonagall took voldemort name in the final fight. There is a reason why only Harry wanted a direct war but not his friends. And no doubt non of others would have accepted his/ her death at the age of 17 for the GREATER GOOD .
