Bellatrix was taking on Hermione, Ginny and Luna and winning - so much so she was confident enough to cast Avada Kedavra at Ginny which took great concentration and power. She also possessed knowledge of obscure magical artefacts like the Arch as she immediately knew she'd killed Sirius, something even Harry didn't. Minerva and Bellatrix are probably on equal footing as Minerva's mastery of Transfiguration lets her outwit and fluster her opponents, whilst Bellatrix possesses more raw power and knows a variety of dangerous and deadly curses that aims to overwhelm her opponents.
