Incomparable has received a lot of hype, but is it worth the steel?

Keep in mind I may be using different mods to the ones in this video. The primary reason I made this video is to show how to get mods for your game, and it's up to you to find the ones you want.

I'm PQ. Hopefully, on this channel, I can teach you a bit about how I play the game. Thanks for watching.

>has literally the best accuracy for a BB in the game
>people regularly get 50% hit/miss ratios with it
>has highest shell alpha in the game
>has a concealment better than most T10 CAs
>has super heal, torps, and hydro just cause

PQ:"I dunno I just dont think its a very consistent ship"
Im sorry PQ, I know you're a BB Unicum and all, but sometimes man, sometimes... lmao

If you call this things accuracy and dispersion unreliable, you should go back to the Gneisenau. With that you can count your self lucky hitting a broadside Colorado at 2km with more than your secondaries.

6:13 I'm glad you mentioned this as I've been noticing this in Incomparable and other ships as well. Sometimes it's as if I'm not locked on to the ship at all and my shells go everywhere. It is not just a bad rng salvo, it makes me think there is an actual bug going on with disperson and locking on to ships.

Lets summarize:
Stalingrad: 60s fires, no FP, no reduction, no hydro, has radar, normal heal, 14.2km max concealment, overmatches some light cruisers
Incomparable: 60s fires, has FP, has duration reduction, has hydro, no radar, superheal, 10.6km concealment, overmatches everything

Oh yes it also has torps

The incomp is definetely overtuned and her conceal allows you to disengage in normally impossible situations. But if you dont like the style that's fine.

I am surprised by your initial assessment.
I play it like a up gunned Henry. Angle away for better armor, use stealth (which you don't get in Henry) and the speed to get those angles/reposition for cross shots. It's not a push boat. It's a Henry with Thunderer guns and Zao concealment. Also the HE chance is extremely high. Though I just use AP all the time and always look for overmatch opportunities.

I have also noticed some wonky shots that fall way short for no apparent reason in BB's.

Day 1 purchase and I regret absolutely nothing - despite the weekend teams that got in the way. If the guns were any more consistent it would simply be broken - even 2 citadels are enough to put a serious dent in most battleships, let alone cruisers. That plus the concealment is where you make your play - sniping can work but this ship wants to brawl at mid-range. At about 25 degrees angled, I've been brawling Kurfursts and bow-tanking Ohios. I like to refer to it as an anti-battleship cruiser, as you can pop out without warning and remove most of their health in 1 go, stay angled and do the same again. If you're searching for the perfect cruiser to devstrike, it's kinda doing it wrong - many other BBs can do that easily. Incomparable's guns are best for dealing with the primary threat to this ship, which is battleships, and that can be difficult to consider when you start a game with less range than most of them.

It's also worth mentioning that her biggest weakness is plunging fire from range, which is why it's so important to play carefully during the opening stages of a game. I've ben having much better games in ranked than in randoms, as a lot of people like to shoot at you when you appear. The hydro and HE are also excellent with dealing with DDs that rush you, with the improved acceleration and turret traverse a massive help.

10.6km is what montana had in the old days.

It was a beast getting ships with their pants down.

No gimmicks required. It did had a horrible citadel.

Not sure if it applies to incomparable, but the way u used old monty at close range. Was to follow someone closely, a dd or a cruiser with low detection.
If he spots a cruiser, you blap it. If he spots a battleship, you wait till the bb fires, then fire back and hide before he reloads.

Its not an easy gameplay, but at least with old monty i was able to punish hard, cause guns were so reliable. Not sure if incomparable guns are as reliable, sound like they arent.

Flanking doesn't always have end with a push. This ship is awesome on a flank since vs other BB's you entirely dictate the terms of the engagement ---> they can't give you broadside but they also can't get rid of your threat. Treat it like a flanking/kiting cruiser and if there's no DD between you and them you're gold.

I have this ship and Shiki and i play this ship like a Zao, you show up slap some ships, then go dark and re-position, then show up can slap them again, go dark re-position and come back and slap them once more, since its speed and concealment is better than many heavy cruisers.

Inconsistent shells is an issue I have encountered. Had front turret shot make a V around a target as if the target was not selected.

My build which has been tailored to the ship is Brisk captain skill, speed flag with speed boost over 40 knots when concealed. This allows me to dictate the engagements and withdraw when needed. I would strongly recommend this build with the reload module instead of range even though shell consistency is way better with range, its literally night and day difference.

On my good games with this ship I am averaging 170k and I am using the special commander Cunningham as 2 kills gives you extra consumables which are badly needed on this ship.

I use rudder shift module, reload, concealment and fire prevention 2nd slot.
Another very serious concern with this ship is getting front turrets consistently knocked out when bow tanking Stalingrads or Petros . Had player knock one out repaired did it again and again. Then I was dead with no way to deal damage back with shell inconsistency.

So far, I do agree with your statement on fixing the dispersion considering its shell count. I do feel that the range does limit its potential as a sniping BB, and this ship's armour already discourages you from taking brawls. I think this ship should lean more into a high-risk, high-reward-esque design where you are suppose to flank, and know when to prioritize, where to shoot to get the most out of it's high-alpha, and overmatch.

I do feel that the concealment does feel a little jank, and it needs changing, but honestly, that's all.

I am very surprised that you don’t love this ship. I found it very fun to play, especially compare with Yamato&shiki. The maneuverability and turret traverse are just so bad on shiki, I just have to play at long range most of time. I found it very frustrating. HE spammers and CVs love farm them. With incomparable, I can have way more active play styles. Even it only has 6 shells, with 2 pen you got over 13K damage and over 20K with one citadel if you take super heavy AP. I just don’t have the guts to take super heavy AP on Shiki because of all the HE spammers. Also, I would say late round Incomparable is way more strong then shiki due to the maneuverability, concealment and consumables.

haha.
flamu: this dispersion is stupid, i can pinpoint a bow-in petro's nose.
pq: eh, dispersion is shit, it's a bb.

I'm honestly loving it. Its by far my highest average damage ship even edging out thunderer right now at 149k per game and it does feel very rewarding to run up the 1 line and find yourself 10km away from the broadside of two thunderers who don't know what to do with you. It's a lot tankier than people give it credit for because of the very good Hood-like armor scheme with the impenetrable midships armor from HE and angled AP. The fact that everyone wants to aim for the nose and hit that extended belt instead of shooting the superstructure and guns out is great. I play it as a mostly extremely aggressive flanker just like Hood and Repulse because of its speed. Being near the border really cuts your ability to push yourself into a crossfire when you can't have enemies on one side. I played a few in randoms but have been spamming it as my ranked machine.

I'm also not finding the dispersion poor because I'm used to Georgia and do love Repulse as well but I am finding the pen honestly poor compared to its rival big gun counterparts, probably mostly due to the fact that its pen falls off real hard and the slow shells come in at a shitty angle most of the time. It's hard to get citadels even on broadside BBs beyond close range. the fact that we get Yamato level overmatch with battlecruiser dispersion is just a godsend that makes up for the lack of shell saturation and citadels in a salvo though. It makes it trade with every BB short of kremlin relatively evenly or favorably. I may not get those 50k damage devstrikes, but I do get 12-20k per salvo and that's well enough for me.

What do you get if you already have the stalin and bourg? Do I get one of these other steel ships or just wait.

Some content producers love this ship - I think you'll get better with it, but sounds like it's not quite your thing... Always good to see different POV.

Imagine playing des moines and getting out spotted by battleship

Seems like the brits went "ya know Repulse? What if bigger?" And proceeded to make the whole thing bigger

At 2:30 you don't even think about shooting the DD. Maybe you should watch some Flamu 'how to play BB' videos. He loves this ship.
