FLPHG Powered hang gliding low over Newborough Sept 2012

Finally - some good flying weather! Over 2.1/2 hours in the air including this 1 hour flight over our aerial playground at Newborough - great fun in perfectly smooth conditions....... accompanied with a bit of Foo Fighters rather than the two stroke engine soundtrack we had at the time. Just to pre-empt any youtube lectures - yes we are aware of the dangers of flying low level.

Hi Keith - many thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. We'll have to all sort out a meet at some point, be great to catch up and I've already got the music in mind for film footage of you shooting by on your K4 at warp speed!
Around 18 months ago I stumbled on FLPHG videos one day on youtube and they inspired me to take it up, finally an affordable way to achieve a long held ambition to fly. So I hope mine inspire others to take up this excellent sport as well.
Cheers for now, Steve

Nice one! Funny how it looks faster than it felt at the time? Not often we get such perfect conditions in the UK so I'm glad we made the most of it. Pete

hoping to get my licence by Autumn this year. I've bought a Blade 582 and would love to fly over one weekend sometime and take the folks up for a tour of the island.

Still grinning mate :-) Had a great day on saturday. I guess when flying our focal point is further ahead whereas the film draws your eye to the close ground immediately below more? Maybe the wide angle setting also makes it look a bit faster. The final stages of landings always look really fast as well over the ground with this camera setting/position. Cheers for now, Steve

Hi Steve, just been watching your video clips. Stunning footage of a spectacular place. I'm from Anglesey originally myself. My parents still live in Bull Bay. I'm in the middle of flexwing training at Ince Blundell. I went solo just before Xmas and hope to get my licence before the end of autumn this year. I've bought a Blade 582. I'd love to someday fly the flex over to Anglesey for a long weekend and fly the family around. Would you know of any feasible farmstrips?
