4 Levels of Chicken Nuggets: Amateur to Food Scientist | Epicurious

We challenged chefs of three different skill levels - amateur Emily, home cook Lorenzo, and professional chef Saul Montiel from Cantina Rooftop - to prepare their take on chicken nuggets. Once each level of chef had presented their creation, we asked expert food scientist Rose to explain the choices they made along the way - both good and bad. Which nuggets are you dipping into first?

An episode with either Emily, Lorenzo, or Saul is already a good episode. But when you put all three together, you my friends are in for a real treat.

Saul's Daughter: "Daddy, can I have chicken nuggets for dinner?"
Saul: "Yes, I'll start cooking them now and you can have them for dinner next Thursday."

Emily: just wants to make them fast
Lorenzo: laughing and cracking jokes
Saul: telling how to properly put salt

I like how Saul’s vibes tbh. Seems like a great dad and chef. He talks simple and doesnt seem like he’s trying too hard for the camera.

Never expected Saul to take a jab at salt bae but I'm not complaining

i love how emily has come so far as a chef, but remains a level 1 because of her attitude of wanting her food to be fast and easy to make even though she has gained the skill to do more as shown in the pro vs home cook series /pos

"I´m gonna put it on the fridge for AT LEAST four hours. Or two. Whatever you want. Do what makes you happy."
Love Saúl.

Chef Saul is officially my favorite level 3 chef you've had in these videos. He was hilarious. And I learned a lot of new things. Perfect combination.

Two things I have learned: Chef Saul's daughter has high expectations and he doesn't approve of salt bae.

Love this guy!

Chef Saul: I'm gonna make chicken lollipops.
Lorenzo: I'm gonna make a brine.
Emily: I've been done hours ago!

Saul : I know everyone uses chicken breast, but I use this part because my daughter expects a lot from me.
Me: 💕

my favorite part about these videos is that no matter the level of chef, they're always happy and proud with what they made, and there's just something so wholesome about that.

Can’t believe Emily’s dipping sauce wasn’t just ketchup. She’s come so far and I’m so proud of her!

The level 3 recipe isn't actually all that technical this time and I know for a fact my daughter would be obsessed with it. Might have to give it a try, looks delicious!

My dear God, Saul is just a wonderful human being. He is so nice and funny and happy. He brings the tears to my eyes at times, just by cooking those beautiful dishes and talking about them, with so much passion and joy.

Man, Emily, Saul, and Lorenzo in ONE episode? Don't mind if I do! Also, Saul not liking Saltbae and Lorenzo saying "Fried Filipino" I nearly lost it :))
