Just got mine installed on 2010 2500 and the torsion bars are a pain in the butt. Heat and a 4 pound sledge hammer are your friend here.

This is a great lift I just put yhis on a 2002 2500hd and it works great and rides beautiful but don't be deceived if ur working on an older model your going to have problems with broken bolts and rusted unusable parts I had to replace torsion bar support bushings and alignment cam both sides.

To tell which side is driver side and which side is passenger there will be a notch right next to the upper ball joint which you can see once you take the cap off in the notch is on the inside that will be the driver side

Being a plow truck my tortion keys were extremely rusted. I used oxyacetylene to loosen the bolt and used the torch to cut the key in half. It still wouldn’t come out so I rented a 20lb concrete hammer from Home Depot for $80 and it came right out

Will this put the cv axil in too much of an angle?

My control arms aren’t notched do indicate drivers side. I installed them with the rc logo to the rear of the vehicle and they are pretty much bottomed out on the metal droop stop. They might have 1/4 inch of clearance.
