People will confess to anything you want them to when you torture them.

Just to add the grand master of the templars as he was being burnt at the stake cursed the French King and the pope he said they would die within 6 months and sure enough they both died in less than a year. I have to admit I always liked the hospitler Knights.

I think the Templars found out the truth that Jesus wasn’t the messiah after all. The French church that was the basis for Holy Blood Holy Grail and Rosalin in Scotland has some dark images that say they found a dark secret.

I once cleaned a Freemason building and they has a room like a church; but eary. I just went in their to get something I needed for cleaning, but I was glad I didn't have to clean it. I saw a pulpit with horns on an ugly looking creature. Weird!

You really glossed over the fact that the confessions were made under brutal torture which in the medieval era was a common tactic of defamation and slander

Sadly we will never truly know all the templars secrets or the whereabouts of their fabulous wealth, as for them worshipping idols etc I personally don't think so under torture you would admit anything I'm sure.

A king who just didn't wanted to pay back his debt. I truly believe Philip made stuff up.

They caught the church doing evil and as evil does it accused their enemies of what they themselves do...

Dungeon, Fire, and Sword is the best book I read on the Knights Templars. Author's name was John J. Robinson. You will not be disappointed.

You should look for "Ordem de Cristo", a Portuguese organization which exists today and inherited all possessions of the Templars. This order took part in the discovery of Brazil. Pedro Álvares Cabral, a portuguese navigator who discovered Brazil, was a Grandmaster of the organization.

*I really enjoyed your video, very interesting and very clever at the same time.*
*But the Baphomet was never about mohamed or islam, it's has more to do with paganism and esoterism in general.*

*The figure have a goat heat and a human body : symbolism of nature and man, or wildness and civilisation.*
*The figure is pointing both UP and DOWN, which have to do with the "AS ABOVE AS BELOW" idea which is a concept bounded to esoterism : what ever is UP, is also DOWN : Heaven/Hell, light/darkness, Life/Death, Love/Hate, etc etc...it's the DUALITY.*
*The Caduceus is both the 13th zodiac signs and also the symbol of medicine, could be also bounded to D.N.A, again, it's a pagan symbol so "far from the church's doxa".*
*The Wings have both an alchemy symbolism and biblical symbolism, fallen angels on earth for biblical point of view and the supreme governance of whoever/whatever can give life or take it away for the alchemists.*
*And last but not least, the pentagram....it's again, a pagan symbol of MATTER over SPIRIT, while the "STAR" inclinaison of it means the contrary SPIRIT OVER MATTER symbolism...again it's always a "point of view" or

*So no, the Templars were never muslims, or satanists, or anything they were accused, they were just monks warriors who spent too much time away from home making war for the church and eventually through theirs voyages and endeavors, they learnt some old knowledge forbidden by the church which have to do directly with the foundations of civilisations prior to occident and also esoterism and maybe more magic stuff*

The knights initiation ritual sounds like the modern day 33rd degree free masonry initiation ritual. Similar.

The Islamic religion does not denounce Jesus Christ...they believe he was a prophet...they also believe that you have a straight line to God...( through my understanding)...so to them he existed, but not as the son of God..but a man that spoke the word of God..

Philip was a clever and fairly successful king. Most of what we "know" of the Templars is just from his smear campaign though. The "physical evidence" was probably Phillip's doing as well to keep the Templars from becoming martyred after their deaths. As for the treasure...either Phillip got it and kept it hidden or it was sent to the Vatican.

Excellent video HP!❤

As an agnostic atheist I find that the Knights Templar’s devotion to their faith to be quite admirable. I doubt that any were “heretics”, people would admit to anything to end their torture.

You forgot to mention that King Phillip was under enormous debt at the time, which was his primary motivation for going after the Templars.
