Not a good idea, there are some crimes so heinous that it shocks the conscience of the average person. It is those crimes that the death penalty is intended for. I would even support expanding the use of the death penalty for those who sexually abuse children. People need to change their thinking when it comes to the death penalty, it’s not really a penalty. It is a permanent removal of a serious public threat! Which is in the state and public’s best interests. I believe it is more inhumane to put some one in a cage for the rest of there life, and that doesn’t even get rid of the threat. It would be better if they streamlined the death sentence. Restrict the appeals process to three; after the third appeal if the inmate fails to have their conviction over turned they should be executed with in 24 hrs!
