How To Draw Hair - Holbein Colored Pencils: Tips & Demo!

Tips on how to draw hair (bright pink specifically) in colored pencils (I'm using my Holbein Colored Pencils here). I show you the names of the colors for my shades, midtones, and highlights. I'll also show you a small section of hair with tips in real time, then go back and show you a demonstration through a time lapse/speed paint.

Lovely work :D I really love how you use a range of colours for the highlights and shadows. I think we naturally would turn to using different tones or shades of the local colour, which would result in something very flat looking. Your demo really shows why using neighbouring colours on the colour wheel adds a lot of life and energy to a piece.

Tip on how to use Holbein pencils - sparingly! Heard they are the best you can get but haven't seen anywhere to buy individual pencils. Amazing colour on this - your skill is a given

I have been using Derwent pencils for a couple of years, with Prismacolour, being my secondary choice, I find Derwent layers wonderfully, but I see from your drawings that you have stunning results with the Holbiens. I have not tried them in a few years I will have to purchase some to re-evaluate them. I just want to know if they are available in open stock. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials.

When you use colours pencils after that you use blend with what? e.g. water or oil or whatever. Because I have noticed that when you finished as seem good blend colours
together.
