✳️ Searching is an art of sorts. I'll share two common mistakes searchers make, and my two-step approach to better search results.

✳️ Better search results
Start broad, with a couple of key words related to your search.
Refine, by adding or changing search words based on the results.
Don’t give up too quickly. Instead, refine your search, and your skills, to circle in on the results you’re looking for.

Unrelated to "Search". Just replaced a Toshiba 2TB HD with a Crucial 2TB SSD (model MX500) (Cloned drives using NexStar Sata to USB Adapter) and WHAT a difference in my computer speed it has made. I have an HP Desktop with Intel Core i7 Processor and 16GB RAM. Thank you, Leo, for your down to earth videos.

With Google you usually have to go past the first page to avoid the ads. 🤣

Sometimes a google search might show endless results that are not related to what you are seeking. You can filter out the irrelevant hits, if you find a word that is common to lots of those irrelevant hits.

For example:
If you use google and search for:
windows 10

The above will return endless results that include the word "Microsoft".

If you use google and search for:
windows 10 -microsoft
(note the "-" minus sign symbol (an operand) preceding the word microsoft)

The above will give you entirely different results, that do not include "microsoft" (except in sponsored results).

It is important to choose relevant search terms. It is also important to exclude "strings", when your results are overpopulated with noise.

Other search engines have their own operands. Some will be the same. Some will be different.

My mistake, and was corrected not to click on the first in a search. That's where the Boogie-man is.

Leo, great video. what about using quotation marks around the search term? For example "leo notemboom"
