Multiple DNS A Records with same name and different ip

Is it normal for more than one website to have the same DNS records apart from the domain? I believe we may have bee hacked via a file purchased on Etsy, it was supposed to be simple PDF but came through as local file in Microsoft. Suddenly after over a year of trying to figure out what's happening, we have realised this sellers website has identical DNS records to ours. More disturbing is, they are a competitor disguising themselves as a marketing company, selling logos, files etc. I only discovered this after doing a bit more research on their phone number and other DNS record checks for the company that I believe they are
