Why Did Obi-Wan Kenobi Say 'Hello There'?

These two words have in many ways become synonymous with the Jedi master and have become veery important to Star Wars fans. Of course, when he said this to grievous it was a call back to Obi-Wans first appearance in a new hope, with George Lucas explaining that it was a tip to Alex Guiness. However, it was also meant to convey the boldness and fearlessness of the Jedi Master in the face of extreme danger. Despite being completely outnumbered, Obi-Wan is supremely confident in both the force and his abilities. However, there is more. Earlier on in the Clone Wars when Kenobi was completely surrounded by battle droids, Grievous had greeted Obi-Wan in the same manner, but of course, Kenobi survived to tell the tale. It is likely that these words are meant to mock the cyborg general for his past failures while also showing that he is not intimidated by him.

I like how the reason for him to say "Hello there" is Grievous saying it to him first, then him back at Grievous, then him to Luke. But all of these were put to the screen in anti-chronological order.

In Battlefront 2 Obi Wan has "Hello there" as a quote, and so does General Grievous, but his is titled "I said it first" or something along those lines.
