Fun fact: New coke was an engineered flop, when classic Coke was reintroduced Coca-Cola stock skyrocketed & has dwarfed pepsi stock ever since

Actual fun fact since products get canceled. Diet Coke tastes nothing like Regular coke because it was released on the taste profile of New Coke. Want to drink New Coke? Buy diet coke essentially. Diet coke was a massive success because New Coke was in fact better, but the consumer is always right and when it released it was shunned. But Diet coke, relatively new in the market grabbed people who normally don't drink pop, which led to it's massive success.

Coke Zero exists only because Diet coke tastes like New Coke and they wanted to make a Diet Coke that tastes like regular coke.

Fun fact: Colgate realized too late they cannot sell their toothpaste in South America or anywhere people speak Spanish.

Colgatar is the spanish word "to hang" and you conjugate the end of the sentence, so the -ar is replaceable... So "Colgate" means "to hang a person" in Spanish...

They did not realize this until they made an entire product line and tried to seriously sell it overseas... Which obviously no one was interested in the "HANG PEOPLE" toothpaste brand
