How to get the perfect steak crust

If you really want a good crust on a steak you should only use salt and use a good amount of it.

I used a filet mignon and dried the filet with a paper towel and then applied a generous amount of salt on all sides.

Next I got my cast iron pan as hot as it could get with avocado oil in it. Then I placed the steak in the pan for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes each side until it had an amazing crust on it. Then I finished the steak in the oven at 275 until it reached an internal temperature of 125 degrees.

Let it rest for 5 minutes with some butter on top
