The climate menu in the shape of the Union Jack is the most creative thing I’ve ever seen

Make the always on temp controls sliders.
Better multi tasking for maps and music together on screen.
Change colour of background on core.
Have ability to hide the speed on the centre screen.
Improve album artwork controls
Improve Apple CarPlay integration - feels like an afterthought.

It's very nicely done, but why isn't there a "blank/transparent" widget that could be selected for those who prefer the middle of the display to be uncluttered.

It's a very *up to date* decision to eliminate most of physical buttons and squize their functions into a touch display. Almost all modern brands have already understood that this production economy doesn't pay off... and at this moment mini presents their bright solution.

Having lived with the new Countryman with operation system 9 for a week now the following needs attention and shows that the loss of the I-Drive is a backwards step.

1. Head up display does not show indicators it’s a distraction whilst driving to look at the centre screen
2. To change temperature you have to touch the screen then slide or tap the + or - to alter temperature. This should be directly from the Home Screen
3. If you select the speed warning system every time you go into a new speed zone a sign comes up on the OLED screen that needs physically cancelling it’s a really STUPID design.
4. If you touch the user profile and enter the shortcut screen and you change your mind you cannot get back to the Home Screen.

I’m still getting used to the system but it’s overly complicated and shows this technology is severely wanting and a step back from the intuitive I-Drive system it replaces.
