There are many reasons why Imola is considered an iconic circuit. For lovers of Formula 1 the events that happened in 1994 will forever be connected with the Italian track that used to be the home of the San Marino GP. However even for the average enthusiast willing to travel with his own car to attend a Trackday, Imola represents a big challenge!

Our trip wouldn't be possible without the help of many good friends and a handful of companies that have been keen to support multiple crazy OLH ideas through the years!

We buy all our MX-5 parts through I.L. Motorsport:

Kostas' V6 MX-5 has been prepped by PB Motorsport:

V8Roadsters has designed the LFX swap kit that gave us reliable NA power:

We buy our AR-1 tires through Nankang Europe:

From the 90hp RingBanana to our 300hp V6 MX-5 we managed to find a budget-friendly solution in MeisterR suspension kits:

Very very cool! Will be watching for more. I also recently started my Mx5 journey and loving it! Cheers and hopefully see you one day at the ring!

I enjoyed your insights on Imola. Definitely the tricky breaking. And Gabrele's BS corner comment was a real gem! If you have to use the phones again, see if a "softer" room is available, it was a bit hard to understand.

Wow, what a beautiful and inspiring track Imola is. A real Jekyll and Hide track - so fast and flowing, yet some slow corners with difficult braking and easy to underestimate. Interesting to see you were at only 90% to save the car (v sensible for OLH!). The experience was clearly great but can't imagine how you manage with massive journey before and after. Brilliant video - an inspiration.
(How can anyone give this video a thumbs down ¦:¬/ )

After the variante Alta, going downhill flatout approaching rivazza...turning right, weight on car's left side and you have to brake hard for the left rivazza corner! I think one or the hardest part. It's tricky... It's dangerous.. and it's simply amazing!😍
