Apologies if my voice sounds a bit un-natural throughout this video. I'm not used to recording such long videos.
Also, ignore the on screen footage for Damping. I got the Bump and Rebound mixed up. You want the Bump Stiffness to be 3 and the Rebound to be 2-4 times that.

I am going to have to watch the fine tuning section again. This is why I came here. I felt like I understood all the parts to put in but didn't know how to tune them. Really appreciate the resource and knowledge. Thanks.

15:40 I have to correct u comrad, the thing is that "gear box" has effect even if u play manually, they made some "penalty" that actually slow down ur switching gears time
19:56 the thing is that cam shaft actually increase ur max speed and problem with "power band" is easily fixed by configure ur gear box, main gear or every gear separately :D

I have likely 100-200 hours of tuning in this game to learn it all on my own. This guide is accurate and well done. Thanks for the good resource.

Thanks for the video and Sepi for the guide.

Great guide, for me the most important thing is right upgrades, if I build the car wrong it will handle sketchy regardless of tuning. After that gearing so that it doesn't spin too much and differential for oversteer/understeer

Great info. I wish you would have made more than 1 video on this. There is a lot of info to take in and it speeds by at S2 rank. That said thankyou for showing us to tune better.

Finally a real guide.
I've watched tons of videos and no one really explains things as well. In a lot of them they do a lot of talking but not really saying anything.
I should note, I've only had the game three days, so I'm quite happy to have found this vid early on. Good stuff, thanks.

Roll Cage isn't uselss for road racing imo. I have found lateral G's to be a pretty important stat. Without the extra rigidity your car can feel like it pushing into the corner instead of powering through it. I find it a pretty cheap PI cost for the lateral g's it provides. Most times you can cover your lateral G's with the rest of your parts and don't need to add extra weight to provide it. I put them in a lot more than he is stating you ever would. Basically personal choice though, Not a must, but could be helpful in a certain scenario.

Amazing video. I am trying to make a RWF Venom F5 Road Build it is a fun car to build and works shockingly well.

I really like this highly detailed script Sepi put together. Glad to see it didn't go to waste as it's made me go back to redo some old noob tunes and be better at it :).

Good Explanations.
But please explain the following:
A lot of tuning options have multiple types (drift, ralley, offroad, sport, race)
- Example: Whats the Differenz between Sport-Differencial and Race-Differencial.

By the way, what a good guide. I still see her to better understand every aspect of her.

I'm late at the party, so first of all, thank you and Sepi for this.

I generally know how to tune cars for my driving style but from time to time problems arises and no matter what I do in the tuning section I can't find the solution. Recently I was tuning a P1 for S2, not a good car for it's class in any way but I like the car and that's all it matters to me. I stumbled across a way-too-responsive front-end which I'm still unable to tune and was curious to know what settings might affect it the most.

I asked around reddit, a couple of discord servers, and I was getting different answers, which none of them helped me. This might not be a tune problem at all and I could've just used wrong upgrades, but I'm curious to know what'd you think, before diving into the upgrade section once more.

Track width does a lot in certain vehicles like mid engine rwd cars its best to keep front track width stock as upgrading the front will make your car understeer like no other upgrade even with front aero . Great vid other than that. Play with track width stock on the test track then upgrade one level of width then test it. You will notice it hugely in 2wd cars more so than awd

Hi there ! Thanks a lot to you and SP4 for the video and the cheatsheet ! I'm learning tuning in FH5 and it's helping me a lot :)
I have a question about my GT-R black edition AWD S1 road build which is a bit understeery in mid corner and a lot in corner exit, where should I look to fix it ? Because I tried change some values in diff and ARBs but I can't fix the understeer, and if I want to progress to be able to create tunes for cars that I love I need to learn how to solve these problems.
Here are some infos about my tune without the changes I tried :
- 924 hp, 1, 429 kg (0.646 power/weight ratio)
- rally tires with 1.5 tires pressure
- camber set to -0.3 both front and rear, with 7.0° front caster angle
- ARBs set to 1 to the front and 65 to the rear
- 75 kgf/mm on springs with max ride height
- 6.5 rebound stiffness and 3.0 bump stifness
- front aero locked due to the use of the bodykit, rear aero set to slightly lower value than front
- 100% diff accel and 0% diff decel, with 75% to the rear in center balance
Thanks in advance to anyone who will take the time to help me !

Respectfully, isn't this damper methodology backwards? I've always thought bump/compression stiffness had to be softer than rebound, with the idea being that impacts and irregularities wouldn't upset the car, and a firmer rebound helped settle the suspension's secondary motions.

Doesn't this seem inverted? Having stiff bump absorption with weak secondary motion mitigation.

Or is this a Forza Logic thing that exclusively applies to the game's physics?
